Holidays are here!!!
I have finally finished my working year and am holidays! The family and I have been lucky enough to be able to spend a couple of weeks on the Gold Coast. The weather hasn’t been the best to date, but, hopefully it’ll improve. I’ve promised my children that I’ll go on all the rides at Dreamworld with them, except the Giant Drop. That would have to be the scariest ride I have ever been on! I’ve been on it once and that was enough. I’m a little suss on The Claw though.

I’ve taken a break from painting for a bit and have been playing some board games and reading a few novels. Talisman is still a great game, even after all these years. I am playing the 3rd edition rules, but, hopefully I’ll be able to get my hands on the upgrade pack for Fantasy Flight Games Revised 4th edition. That way I’ll be able to play all the great expansions that they are releasing. If you like board games, check out WarPuppy for a great selection of games.

I’ve also started reading the Horus Heresy, published by Black Library. I am totally hooked!! I have powered through the first 3 books and am eagerly waiting the delivery of books 4 & 5. I will admit to being pleasantly surprised at the quality of the writing. I’ve read Black Library books in the past and its only been my interest in the subject matter that has kept me going to the end of the book. Hopefully the quality writing will continue through out the Horus Heresy series. WarPuppy sells all Black Library books at 10% off. At the rate I read books this is great. Check out their range here.
I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday. If you get a break from work between Christmas and New Year I hope you get a chance to relax and play some games!
Cheers,
Adam

Good Bye 2010, Hello 2011!
Well 2010 is just about over. It’s been a massive year for me in all facets of my life, some good, some bad….but mostly good. Hopefully 2011 will be even better.
Whats in store in 2011? Well, more Blood Bowl as I work on my Norse team, The Chuck Norses. I have a number of commission jobs on the go, so there will be more shots of my work. I am continuing to tinker with my photographic setup, so hopefully, I’ll be able to start doing good work-in-progress shots. One of my new years resolutions is to enter Golden Daemon in 2011. I have already picked out my entry for the single Warhammer Fantasy miniature category. The plan is to create a series of articles tracking my progress.
I’d like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope that you see the new year in safely.
Cheers,
Adam
