Wild West Blood Bowl Action – Goblin Style
Looking for something a bit different after the powerhouse that were the Breton B*st*rds, Matt Hosking went to the opposite end of the scale and started coaching goblins. Not just any goblins, Wild West themed goblins. The miniatures used for this team are primarily from the Neomics goblin range of fantasy football miniatures.
Theming a team is more than just painting it in team colours. Matt spent a little bit of time searching the internet for names and ideas to help him put the finishing touches on his team. To highlight the “fun” nature of a Goblin team, all the players have goblinised name from the Western genre. Players like Gobbo the Kid, General Cluster and Butch Gobbity really make playing against the Foulers a great experience.
The team at this point is still a work in progress with many miniatures having extensive conversions to get across the Wild West theme. To further highlight this theme I chose a very neutral, dusty colour palette when painting. The team colours are essentially off white and brown, with the green of the goblin skin as contrast. Couple that paint scheme with the dusty, outback style bases and you could almost imagine these crazy goblins playing Blood Bowl out west.
